All poultry, beef, lamb, pork,and down feather products-comforters & pillows, eggs, flax, all raw meat & bones pet food, About Us We have been direct marketing since 1978 beginning at the Sioux Falls Dwowntown Open Air Market. We began with garden products & feather products. Our first meat product was goose. Thus our mobile meat market was dubbed The Goosemobile. Since goose is popular for the Christmas holiday menu, the Goosemobile traveled the major SD Highways east & west stoping at the designated cities along the way in the month of December. The customers met the Goosemobile to purchase the frozen geese. At the customers request we soon added duck and free range chicken to the product menu. In 1999 the red meats were added to the list. All the animals range free on certified organic grasses. Our beef is strictly grass fed it's entire life. The pork and lambs do eat non-organic grains as well as the organic grasses. The Goosemobile is a 26 foot cargo trailer with eight chest freezers inside. The freexers are labeled and filled with 1.Whole Chicken, 2. Pork, 3. Lamb, 4. Beef, 5. Speciality Poultry, (duck, geese, stew hens, etc.) 6. Chicken Parts (by the pound), 7. Turkey & Parts and 8. Pet Food. The meat is packaged in clear cryovac so the customer can see the whole product. Thus with a shopping bag in hand, they can select the product themselves and be checked out like in a grocery store. Browse through our Products for Sale Ingredients The feed for our animals and birds is not laced with antibiotics and growth hormones. The animals range freely with a choice of diet originally intended for them to eat such as grass, bugs, grubs, grit, etc. The poultry water is seasoned with vinegar to keep the intestines rather acidic so the bad micro-organisms can not survive. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) As stated above we do season the poultry water with vinegar to keep the harmful micro-organisms at bay! All the animals range free on certified organic grass land. We force the poultry to leave their barns by placing the waterers and feed troughs outside. We buy whole grains from local farmers who do not use harsh chemicals. We feed the grains whole so they produce large gizzards. Highlights this Month 2011 is here. It has been a very good year thanks to our Lord and faithful customers. We started our baby chicks earlier than normal since we sold out of them before Christmas of 2010. We have slaughtered most all the poultry except the layers and ducks. Most of the spent hens will be sold live to the ethnic customers who seek to find dark feathered birds. They travel to the farm on a regular basis to buy these 1 1/2 year old laying hens that are replaced every fall. The new laying flock is producing more regular sized eggs for the in-store market. The older hens tend to lay x-tra large eggs that will not fit the egg cartons or smaller than normal eggs. We should still have some irregular eggs ( smaller or shell blemishes) for $2./dozen. They will be fresh eggs but not saleable in the store. So you can order them in advance and meet Tom at the Coop parking lot on Saturday between 9-9:30AM when he delivers eggs to the store.
